Straßenzahnarzt / street dentist Pushkar Singh *Director's cut*
Der Indische Straßenzahnarzt Pushkar Singh wechselte krankheitsbedingt seinen Job vom Tischler zum Zahnarzt. Steile Karriere?

(That Indian squash is coming of age atleast on the distaff side was proved amply by Deepika Palikal who saved seven match points and won her match against Nour El Sherbini but top seeded Egypt won the inaugural Under 21 world cup squash championship with a 2-1 win over India at the Express Mall here today. Ravi Dixit lost to Marwan Hossam El Shorbagy 4-11, 11-4, 7-11, 11-7 while Ramit Tandon could not match Karim Samy Abdel Gawad who won 12-10, 11-4, 6-11, 11-8. Dipika, already a popular face among the knowledgable, was cheered on by a 8,000 strong Sunday crowd at the Mall. • Fans pray for Yuvrajandapos;s health at Deras in Punjab
(As the news of cricket icon Yuvraj Singh being diagnosed with cancer spread, fans and supporters started gathering at Deras of Sant Ajit Singh Hansaliwale and Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale in the district. Yuvraj is a follower of these two Deras and his fans are hopeful that the deras will bless Yuvraj with good health and he would be able to successfully overcome the disease. Yuvraj and his mother Shabnam used to come here whenever they encountered problems in life. The blessings had helped Yuvi emerge as a champion everytime. Recently, before the start of the World Cup in 2011, when the cricketer was going through a rough phase in his career, he visited the Deras. The effect was such that not only he managed to win the Player of the Tournament award, but India won the World Cup too. As the news of his illness spread like a wild fire on electronic media his followers thronged the Deras in large numbers and prayed for him. Some of the young local cricketers left their practice sessions in between and reached the Deras straightway. I received a call from my dad saying that the news that Yuvraj has been diagnosed with cancer flashed on television. I couldnt continue playing. I informed my friends about it and we decided to head to Dera of Baba Ram Singh and pray for Yuvraj, said Vinayak Moudgill of Young Cricket Club, Bassi Pathana. Another budding cricketer, Amit Malhotra carrying his batting kit on his shoulders was literally in tears outside the Dera of Baba Ram Singh Ganduan Wale. I cannot believe this. Yuvraj is such a dashing cricketer. He is a gem, and pride of Punjab. His power is just marvellous. He cannot land in this problem, Gobind Moudgill barely managed to speak out. Other members of the Young Cricket Club- Deepak Malhotra, Vijay Kumar, Tejinder Singh, Varinder Sandhu, Lukesh Malhotra, Mohit Lumba, Gaurav Lumba spoke with optimism. They also visited the Dera of Saint Ajit Singh and prayed for Yuvrajs health. The problem is still in its initial phase. Yuvraj is a fighter. He has shown his mettle a number of times before. And this time also, he will end-up being on the winning side soon. He will not only reach the cricket field soon, but will also start dispatching the cricket ball to the stands yet again, said a hopeful Prof Gagandeep Sharma of Baba Banda Singh Bahadur Engineering College, Fatehgarh Sahib. Yuvraj himself alongwith his family is expected to visit the Deras in the coming days. Dera of Baba Ram Singh is situated on Dufera Mour, Fatehgarh Sahib while Dera of Saint Ajit Singh is at village Hansali-Khera. (Yoga guru Ramdev today alleged that 80 per cent public funds goes in the pockets of ministers and officials while only 20 per cent is spend on development works. Corruption is rampant in the country and a big effort should be made to control it, otherwise the people would have to suffer, he said. Addressing a press conference here, Baba Ramdev alleged that the Congress government at the Centre was responsible for the corruption and backwardness of the country and now it has got the achievement of becoming the most corrupt government in the Independent India. It is surprising that Congress was not ashamed about the 2G scam and their leaders are still seeking support and were dreaming to form the government in UP, he said. The Yoga guru said people should boycott the Congress in this elections and teach them a lesson for supporting the corrupt leaders.
